We are looking to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant on a day-to-day basis, with the opportunity to secure a long-term position for the right SEND Teaching Assistant. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will work closely with students on a one-to-one and small group basis, supporting learning, encouraging independence, and promoting positive behaviour throughout the school day. This SEND Teaching Assistant role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a specialist setting while making a real difference to the lives of young people. The ideal SEND Teaching Assistant will be proactive, compassionate, and committed to helping every student succeed. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver tailored interventions and ensure every student can reach their full potential.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• A patient, calm, and nurturing approach
• Experience working within an education, SEND, or care setting
• A proactive and flexible attitude to supporting learning
