TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Sunderland that provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for pupils with Autism and behavioural needs. The school is committed to helping every student develop academically, socially and emotionally through personalised support and a positive approach to learning.
The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a day-to-day basis with an ASAP start. The successful Teaching Assistant will support students with Autism and behavioural needs both inside and outside the classroom, promoting engagement, managing behaviour positively and helping pupils achieve their individual learning goals.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children or young people with Autism, SEND or behavioural needs
• A passion for supporting students with additional needs
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A genuine commitment to helping every student achieve their potential
