SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Sutton Coldfield
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £95 - £115 per day
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Autism and communication difficulties?
Do you have the patience and resilience needed to support children and young people with SEMH?
Are you confident adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of pupils across different ages?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in Sutton Coldfield supporting pupils of mixed ages with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs, Autism / ASD and communication difficulties. The setting provides a supportive and structured environment where pupils are encouraged to build confidence, develop positive relationships and overcome barriers to learning.
The setting is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide individual and classroom support, adapt communication and learning activities to meet individual needs and work closely with teaching staff to help pupils engage positively with education.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and Autism / ASD
Experience supporting pupils with communication difficulties
Confidence working with pupils across different ages
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
