SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Northfield
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £90 - £120 per day
Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children and young people with complex additional needs?
Do you have the patience, resilience and adaptability to support pupils with cognition and learning difficulties?
Are you confident providing support to pupils who may also have physical disabilities and complex healthcare needs?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in Northfield supporting students aged 2-19 with cognition and learning difficulties, alongside physical disabilities and/or complex healthcare needs. The setting provides a supportive and personalised learning environment focused on helping every student develop their confidence, independence and access to education.
The setting is looking to appoint SEND Teaching Assistants for day-to-day and long-term opportunities, with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils across a wide age range, providing individual and classroom support while working closely with teaching staff to meet their learning, developmental and care needs.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND
Experience supporting pupils with cognition and learning difficulties
Experience supporting pupils with physical disabilities and/or complex healthcare needs
Confidence working with pupils across different ages
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
