Functional Skills Tutor

Salary: £25 - £35 per hour

Are you a Functional Skills Tutor who can engage young people outside of a traditional classroom environment?

Do you have experience supporting learners with SEND, Autism / ASD and behavioural needs?

Are you patient, adaptable and confident delivering Functional Skills to learners who may have faced barriers to education?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision in Crewe supporting young people with SEND, Autism / ASD and behavioural needs. Learners are supported outside of traditional classroom environments, with education tailored to their individual needs and focused on helping them re-engage positively with learning.

The provision is looking to appoint a Functional Skills Tutor on a long-term basis with an ASAP start. The successful Functional Skills Tutor will deliver Functional Skills education, adapt sessions to meet individual learning needs and provide consistent support to learners who may require a flexible approach to their education.

The successful Functional Skills Tutor will have:

• Experience delivering Functional Skills

• Experience supporting young people with SEND

• Experience working with Autism / ASD and behavioural needs

• Confidence delivering education outside of traditional classroom environments

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
