Salary: £180 - £220 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic full SEND school in Gateshead that provides specialist education for children and young people aged 5 to 20 years with a range of additional needs. The school is committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every student is supported to develop independence, confidence and the skills needed to achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to appoint a permanent English Teacher from 24th August. The successful English Teacher will deliver engaging English lessons to students with a range of SEND, adapting learning to meet individual needs while developing students' literacy, communication and language skills to support further education, employment and independent living.

The successful English Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching English within a UK SEND setting
• Experience supporting children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• A positive, patient and flexible approach to teaching
