TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision based in Bradford, who are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Inclusion Support Worker. The provision supports children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including Autism / ASD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder / ADHD and physical disabilities, with a focus on promoting inclusion, independence and personal development.
The school is looking to take on a compassionate SEND Inclusion Support Worker for day-to-day supply or long-term cover opportunities, with an immediate start available. The successful SEND Inclusion Support Worker will be responsible for providing 1:1 and small group support, assisting pupils with their learning and physical needs, implementing individual support strategies and working closely with teaching staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
The successful SEND Inclusion Support Worker will have:
A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Health and Social Care or a related field (desirable)
Experience supporting children and young people with SEND, including Autism / ASD, ADHD and physical disabilities
Experience providing 1:1 support, small group interventions and assisting pupils with individual learning plans
An understanding of safeguarding, inclusive education and positive behaviour management strategies
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
A patient, caring and adaptable approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
