SEND Learning Support Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming SEND provision in Bradford that is looking to appoint a SEND LSA. The provision supports children with complex needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment, where every pupil is encouraged to achieve their individual potential through personalised support.

The school is looking to appoint a part-time SEND LSA on a long-term basis from September. The successful SEND LSA will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils with complex needs to engage in learning, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes.

The successful SEND LSA will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND and complex needs
• A relevant Teaching Assistant or Learning Support qualification is desirable
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, caring and resilient approach to supporting pupils
• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
