Salary: £14.25 - £16.50 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Frome, supporting young people aged 7 to 19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder / ASD and varying learning difficulties. Set in a peaceful rural location with extensive grounds, the school provides a safe, structured and nurturing environment focused on building independence, confidence and self-esteem.

The school is looking for a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis, supporting pupils with individual learning, social and emotional needs. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored classroom support, encourage positive behaviour and help students develop essential life skills.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly Autism / ASD

• Experience working with pupils with learning difficulties and additional needs

• Strong communication and behaviour management skills

• The ability to adapt support to individual learning needs

• A patient, caring and resilient approach with a passion for supporting young people
