TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a welcoming SEND provision in Nottinghamshire. The setting provides a positive and inclusive environment where children and young people with additional needs, including Autism and ADHD, are encouraged to build their confidence, independence and love of learning.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team. Day-to-day supply and potential long-term opportunities are available.

You will:

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support

• Help make learning engaging and accessible

• Encourage positive behaviour and participation

• Celebrate pupils’ progress and achievements

• Support the development of confidence, independence and social skills

• Work closely with teaching staff to give every pupil the best possible support

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND

• Knowledge or experience of Autism and ADHD

• A positive, patient and adaptable approach

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• An understanding of positive behaviour support

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

• A good understanding of safeguarding
