TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND provision in Newark that supports children and young people with a variety of complex needs, including Autism / ASD. The setting is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment where pupils can develop their confidence, independence and individual abilities.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teacher on a long-term, full-time basis, supporting pupils with complex learning and additional needs. The successful SEND Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt learning to meet individual needs and work closely with support staff to help pupils make positive progress.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

A Child and Adult DBS!

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Previous experience working with children and young people with SEND
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD and complex needs
• The ability to adapt lessons to individual learning needs
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
