Supporting pupils aged 3-19 with a wide range of additional needs, the school is recognised for its inclusive ethos, exceptional learning environment and commitment to helping every pupil achieve their full potential. As part of its continued growth, the school is expanding its provision with the opening of Briarwood South, creating an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and supportive team.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teacher on a long-term basis from September 2026. The successful SEND Teacher will work with pupils with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and behaviours that challenge, delivering engaging, personalised lessons that develop communication, independence and life skills while maintaining high expectations and promoting positive outcomes for every learner.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• A good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
• The ability to plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs
• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
• A positive, resilient and flexible approach with excellent communication and teamwork skills
