TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Bristol that provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for pupils from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 5. The school is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential through personalised learning, therapeutic support and a collaborative staff team that values professional development and wellbeing.

We are looking to appoint a full-time, permanent SEND Teacher from September. The successful SEND Teacher will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs) and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), while promoting positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and academic progress across Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly SEMH, SLCN and ASD.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Experience planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach to teaching.
