SEND Teaching Assistant – Ealing

Location: Ealing, West London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Salary: £90–£120 per day, depending on experience

TeacherActive is recruiting enthusiastic and experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to join a supportive specialist school in Ealing.

The school supports children and young people with autism and a range of additional and complex learning needs. We are looking for SEND TAs who are patient, resilient and passionate about helping pupils develop their communication, independence and engagement with learning.

The role will involve:

• Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC) and additional learning needs
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with communication and interaction difficulties
• Helping pupils with their social, emotional and sensory needs
• Using visual communication and individualised strategies where appropriate
• Supporting positive behaviour and pupil engagement
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and other SEND professionals
• Assisting with personal care and physical needs where required
• Creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Ideally has experience with ASC, SLD, PMLD or complex needs
• Is calm, patient and confident supporting pupils with different communication needs
• Is comfortable providing personal care where required
• Has strong behaviour-management and communication skills
• Is reliable and committed to a long-term, full-time position
