TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Manchester, who are looking to appoint a SEND / SEMH Teaching Assistant. The school is committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every student is supported to succeed through high-quality pastoral care and dedicated staff.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND / SEMH Teaching Assistant on either a part-time or full-time basis from September. The successful SEND / SEMH Teaching Assistant will support students across both KS3 and KS4, working on a one-to-one basis and in small groups with students who have SEND and SEMH needs, helping to promote engagement, confidence and positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.

The successful SEND / SEMH Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• A calm, patient and resilient approach to supporting students
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their full potential
