TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive mainstream primary school in Middlesbrough who are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant. The school provides a welcoming environment where pupils with a range of complex needs are supported within their education.
The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from September. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 support to pupils within Key Stage 1 / KS1, helping them engage with learning and access appropriate support throughout the school day.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience supporting children with SEND and complex needs
- Experience providing 1:1 support
- A patient and supportive approach
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptability and a ‘can-do’ attitude
