TeacherActive is proud to be working with an all-age SEND school based in Worcester, supporting children and young people aged between 3 and 19 with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / SEND. The school offers a busy, challenging and highly rewarding environment where staff work together to support pupils with varying learning, social, emotional and physical needs.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant on a part-time basis, with an immediate start available. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils across different age groups, assisting with classroom activities, individual learning needs and personal development, with minimal previous experience required as a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable, although applicants with minimal experience are encouraged to apply

• An understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / SEND

• A patient, caring and nurturing approach to supporting pupils with additional needs

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• A flexible, enthusiastic and resilient attitude towards working in a busy school environment
