SEND Teacher – Supply
Location: Mansfield

TeacherActive is recruiting SEND Teachers for supply work across specialist SEND schools in Mansfield.
You will deliver engaging, accessible lessons that recognise each pupil’s strengths and support their individual needs. Whether covering a single day or a longer placement, you will help maintain consistent routines and create a positive environment where pupils feel confident to learn.
Your role will include:
Delivering lessons adapted to pupils’ abilities and learning needs.
Using varied teaching approaches to support engagement and progress.
Following individual support plans and school routines.
Supporting communication, independence and emotional wellbeing.
Managing behaviour with a calm, positive and consistent approach.
Working closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff.
The ideal SEND Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Desireable but not essential
Experience teaching pupils with SEND.
Strong adaptive teaching and classroom management skills.
A patient, empathetic and flexible approach.
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
