Job Title: SEND Teacher
Location: Telford
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £155 - £210 per day

Do you have experience supporting secondary school pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?
Are you a patient, adaptable and resilient teacher with the confidence to manage challenging behaviours?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Telford that has a dedicated SEND provision supporting pupils with SEMH needs, ASD and challenging behaviours. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment, focusing on structured routines, personalised learning and helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.
The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Teacher on a long-term basis, with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right Teacher. The successful applicant will be working with secondary-aged pupils within the school's SEND provision, planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons while implementing effective behaviour management strategies to support pupils' individual learning and emotional needs.
The successful Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are welcome to apply)
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
Experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs, ASD and challenging behaviours
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to implement effective behaviour management strategies
A calm, patient and caring approach with the ability to adapt teaching to individual learning and emotional needs
