TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and growing primary school in Newport that is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school has created a nurturing and supportive environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence and a love of learning, while staff work collaboratively to ensure every pupil reaches their full potential.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis starting in September. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting a Reception class, working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities while providing additional support for pupils with ALN, helping every child to achieve their best.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience supporting children within a primary school setting, ideally in EYFS
• Experience supporting pupils with ALN
• A positive, patient and proactive approach to learning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting young children to succeed
