Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Salary: £85-£93 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming one-form-entry primary school based in Cardiff, who are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant / LSA. The school has a fun, energetic and supportive Foundation Phase team who are passionate about creating a positive learning environment where every child feels included and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated Learning Support Assistant / LSA from January 2027 on a part-time, long-term temporary basis. The successful Learning Support Assistant will be supporting children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN within the Foundation Phase, providing classroom support, assisting with personal care and helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
Relevant Teaching Assistant or Learning Support qualification desirable
Experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
Experience providing personal care within an educational or care setting
A good understanding of the Foundation Phase curriculum
A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners
The ability to work effectively as part of a fun and energetic team
