TeacherActive is working with a welcoming primary school in the Morpeth area that is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a mixture of SEND needs. The school is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to succeed.

This is an immediate-start, temporary-to-permanent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a difference in children's education. You will work closely with classroom teachers and support staff, providing 1:1 and small-group support where required, adapting learning activities and helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification is desirable

• Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally within a primary school setting

• An understanding of additional learning needs and positive behaviour management strategies

• The ability to provide effective 1:1 and small-group learning support

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

• A patient, resilient and proactive approach to supporting children with different needs
