Teaching assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary school in Walsall, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children with complex learning needs. The school is looking for someone who can help create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis, with the potential to become a long-term position for the right Teaching Assistant. The successful applicant will be supporting primary-aged pupils with complex learning needs, providing assistance with learning activities, emotional development and personal care where required, whilst building positive relationships with pupils and staff.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)

• Experience supporting children with complex learning needs / SEND

• Experience or confidence in providing personal care

• The ability to build strong, positive relationships with children and staff

• A fun, outgoing and enthusiastic personality

• A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting children's individual needs
