TeacherActive is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of welcoming Primary Schools across Bridgend, CF32 and the surrounding areas.
We have a range of exciting opportunities available, including flexible day-to-day supply, short-term assignments and longer-term positions. Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to develop your experience within a primary school setting, we would love to hear from you!
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils' academic progress and personal development. You will work closely with class teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, provide support to individuals and small groups, and help pupils engage with lessons in line with the Curriculum for Wales.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
Previous experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting
A good understanding of the Curriculum for Wales
Confidence supporting pupils across Foundation Learning, KS1 and KS2
Experience supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) would be beneficial
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
A patient, caring and flexible approach to supporting children's learning
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for helping children learn, develop and succeed
