Salary: £100 - £110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive school based in Liverpool City Centre, who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. The school supports pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including autism / ASD, ADHD and complex learning difficulties, providing a safe and nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence and independence.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant from January on a long-term basis. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, supporting their learning, encouraging independence and helping them build positive relationships while ensuring their individual needs are met.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, Level 2 or Level 3, is desirable

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, including autism / ASD, ADHD and complex learning difficulties

• Experience providing 1:1 support and working with small groups

• A good understanding of strategies to support pupils with additional learning needs

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

• A patient, caring and adaptable approach with a positive 'can-do' attitude
