Job Title: Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Treorchy who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for a resilient and supportive individual who can build a positive relationship with a pupil and provide consistent support throughout the school day.
The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, ongoing basis, working 1-1 with a child with ADHD and behavioural and emotional difficulties. The successful Teaching Assistant will provide consistent support, help the pupil manage their emotions and behaviour, and maintain strong relationships with both the pupil and their parents.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
• Experience working 1-1 with children with ADHD and behavioural and emotional difficulties
• Experience managing challenging behaviour within an education or similar setting
• The resilience and patience to provide consistent support
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and parents
• A calm, caring and adaptable approach
