Job Title: Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Sully, Vale of Glamorgan, who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for a caring, resilient and adaptable individual who can support pupils within the classroom while providing additional individual support where required.
The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, ongoing basis, combining general mainstream LSA duties with 1-1 support for pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. The successful Teaching Assistant will support learning in the classroom, help pupils regulate their emotions and behaviour, and build consistent relationships that encourage positive engagement with school.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children within a primary school or similar setting
• Experience supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties
• Experience providing 1-1 support to children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
• Confidence supporting learning within a mainstream classroom
• Resilience and the ability to remain calm and consistent when managing challenging behaviour
• A caring, patient and adaptable approach
