Primary Teaching Assistant / LSA / HLTA – Wakefield
Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant / Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

We are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join our agency and support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Our schools offer a variety of opportunities, including day-to-day supply work, longer-term placements and potential permanent positions.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children, want to gain experience in different school settings or are searching for a consistent position within a supportive primary school.
The Role
Depending on the position and your experience, responsibilities may include:
Supporting classroom teachers with daily lessons and activities.
Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEND.
Delivering small-group interventions in phonics, literacy and numeracy.
Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD and additional learning needs.
Helping children develop their confidence and independence.
Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
Supporting children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Leading classroom activities or providing class cover where appropriate for HLTAs.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
Experience supporting children within a primary school or relevant educational setting.
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
HLTA status or suitable experience for higher-level roles.
A patient, enthusiastic and supportive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Experience supporting children with SEND (desirable).
The ability to adapt to different school environments.
A genuine passion for supporting children's education.
