Are you confident providing effective 1:1 and small group support across KS1 to KS4?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school setting in Carlisle, supporting pupils across KS1 to KS4 with a range of additional needs. The setting provides a supportive learning environment where pupils can develop academically, socially and emotionally.
The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis with an Immediate Start. The successful Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH and Learning Difficulties, helping them engage with learning and providing appropriate support throughout the school day.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN / SEND
• Experience supporting Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH and Learning Difficulties
• Confidence providing 1:1 and small group support
• A patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication skills
• A positive and adaptable attitude
