Job Title: Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant

Salary: £14.25 per hour

Are you an enthusiastic and supportive Teaching Assistant who can engage pupils across KS1 and KS2?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with fantastic Welsh-medium schools across the Vale of Glamorgan. These mainstream settings provide welcoming and supportive environments where pupils are encouraged to develop their learning and confidence through the Welsh language.

The schools are looking for a Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant to work on an initially short-term basis, with the opportunity to secure long-term work for the right candidate. The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will support pupils within mainstream classes or on a 1-1 basis across KS1 and KS2, helping them engage with their learning and providing additional support where required.

The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will have:

• Fluency in Welsh with excellent spoken Welsh language skills
• A minimum of 6 months’ experience working with children
• Experience supporting children within an educational setting is desirable
• The ability to provide effective classroom and 1-1 support
• A positive and enthusiastic approach to supporting pupils
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
