Teaching Assistants in Newport play a crucial role within schools, whether on a temporary, long-term, or permanent basis. This role involves supporting teachers with classroom activities, preparing resources, and supervising pupils, particularly those with additional learning needs.

Key Requirements

• Possession of a CACHE Level 2 or 3 qualification, or a minimum of six months’ relevant experience
• Confidence in managing groups of pupils aged 11 to 16 and above
• Ability to promote positive behaviour and maintain pupil engagement
• Flexibility to work across different departments and with various age groups on a daily basis
