Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant / Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

TeacherActive is working closely with a variety of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Leeds and the surrounding areas.
We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join our agency.
We have a range of opportunities available, from flexible day-to-day supply bookings to long-term placements and permanent positions.
Whether you're looking to gain experience in different school environments or find a consistent position within one school, we can help you find a role that suits your experience and availability.
The Role
Depending on your experience and qualifications, your responsibilities may include:
Supporting class teachers across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Delivering small-group interventions in phonics, reading and numeracy.
Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs.
Supporting children with SEND, including autism, ADHD and learning difficulties.
Helping pupils remain engaged and focused during lessons.
Assisting with classroom preparation and daily activities.
Leading small groups or covering classes where appropriate for qualified HLTAs.
Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil development.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working with children in a primary school or relevant educational setting.
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
HLTA status or relevant experience for higher-level positions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach.
Confidence supporting children with different learning needs.
Flexibility to work across different primary schools.
