Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Salford

Salary: £92.63 - £115 per day

Do you have a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school based in Salford who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially and personally.
The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from October, providing one-to-one support for a Year 8 pupil with Autism / ASD. The successful Teaching Assistant will support the pupil within lessons, encourage engagement with learning and provide consistent support to help meet their individual needs.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
- Experience supporting children or young people with Autism / ASD
- Experience providing one-to-one support within an educational setting
- A patient and understanding approach
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
