TeacherActive is working with a mainstream middle school in Newcastle upon Tyne that is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant. The school offers the opportunity to support pupils in a positive learning environment, encouraging their academic progress, independence and personal development.
This is an immediate-start, temporary-to-permanent opportunity for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting pupils across a range of subjects. You will work alongside teaching staff to provide classroom support, assist with learning activities, deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions where required, and help maintain positive classroom behaviour.
The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will have:
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent relevant qualification
Previous experience working with children or young people in a school setting
Experience providing classroom, 1:1 or small-group learning support
Good knowledge of safeguarding and positive behaviour management
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A patient, reliable and proactive approach to supporting learning
