TeacherActive is recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in friendly Primary Schools across Port Talbot.

Whether you're experienced or looking to start your career in education, we'd love to hear from you. If you've worked with children or have transferable skills from childcare, care, coaching, youth work or customer service, we'll help you make the move into the classroom.

The Role

You'll work alongside teachers to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 by:

• Supporting children one-to-one and in small groups
• Helping create a positive learning environment
• Encouraging confidence, independence and engagement
• Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) where needed
• Being a positive role model for children

We're Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
• A caring, patient and reliable approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A willingness to learn and develop
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
