Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Newcastle
Start Date: November 2026
Salary: £93-£100 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. The school is focused on providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where children are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from November 2026, supporting pupils across Key Stage 2 / KS2. The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to support classroom learning, deliver small group interventions, provide individual support where required and help pupils develop their literacy, numeracy and social skills.
The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will have:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Experience supporting children within Key Stage 2 / KS2 in a primary school setting
Good knowledge of the National Curriculum and KS2 learning objectives
Experience delivering small group interventions and supporting pupils with varying learning abilities
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A positive, patient and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning and development
