Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Medway
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £95 - £100 per day
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with experience across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2?
Can you provide calm, understanding and emotionally available support to pupils who may display disruptive behaviour?
Are you confident building positive relationships with children who may face additional challenges inside and outside the classroom?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Primary School based in Medway, supporting children within a largely disadvantaged area. The school values understanding, consistency and positive relationships, creating an inclusive environment where every pupil is supported to engage with their learning.
The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a short-term basis, working across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils with their learning and emotional development, using patience and a calm approach when assisting children who may present disruptive behaviour.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
- Experience supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2
- Experience working with children who may display disruptive or challenging behaviour
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- An understanding and emotionally available approach
- Patience, resilience and adaptability
