TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Pupil Referral Unit in Bury, supporting students aged 8 to 21. The setting has a strong, caring staff team and focuses on creating a safe, structured environment where young people with SEMH needs and Autism can thrive.

The PRU is looking to take on a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting students with SEMH, Autism, and challenging behaviours, working closely with teaching staff to promote engagement, positive behaviour, and emotional development.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Team Teach training (essential)
• Experience working within a PRU or similar setting
• Experience supporting young people with SEMH, Autism, and challenging behaviours
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
