Teaching Assistant? Your Next School Opportunity Could Be Closer Than You Think.

Pembrokeshire | Primary Schools | Full-Time & Part-Time | Weekly PAYE

You could be looking for more flexibility.
A role where you can make a real difference.
A school closer to home.
A chance to gain more experience.
Or somewhere you can become part of a team and settle for the long term.

Whatever you're looking for, we can help you find your next opportunity.

We’re working with primary schools across Pembrokeshire and are looking for caring, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support pupils in a variety of settings.

And you don't necessarily need years of classroom experience to get started.

If you have the right skills, attitude and experience working with children or young people, we'd love to hear from you.

Find a role that works for you

Everyone has different priorities when it comes to their next job.

That's why we don't believe in simply matching candidates to whichever vacancy happens to be available.

We'll take the time to understand your experience, availability and what you're looking for, then talk you through opportunities that could be a good fit.

Roles can include:

  • Full-time Teaching Assistant positions
  • Part-time and regular weekly work
  • Short-term assignments
  • Long-term placements
  • 1:1 pupil support
  • Small-group learning and intervention
  • Primary school opportunities across Pembrokeshire

Whether you want the flexibility of supply, the consistency of regular work or the opportunity to find a school for the longer term, there could be something for you.

Your experience could already be classroom-ready

Think you need previous experience as a Teaching Assistant?

Not necessarily.

The skills you've developed elsewhere could be incredibly valuable in a school.

You may have experience in:

  • Childcare or nursery settings
  • Youth work
  • Sports and coaching
  • Mentoring
  • Residential or support work
  • Volunteering
  • Working with children or young people in other settings

What matters is your ability to build positive relationships, support others and create a safe, encouraging environment for pupils.

We're looking for people who are:

  • Caring, patient and approachable
  • Reliable and professional
  • Confident working with children
  • Positive and encouraging
  • Good at building trusting relationships
  • Understanding of different needs and abilities
  • Committed to helping pupils develop and succeed

Make a difference every day

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be more than an extra pair of hands in the classroom.

You'll have the opportunity to become an important part of a pupil's school experience — helping them feel confident, included and ready to learn.

Depending on the school and role, you could be:

  • Supporting pupils during classroom lessons
  • Working 1:1 or with small groups
  • Helping children understand and complete learning activities
  • Encouraging pupils to stay focused and engaged
  • Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
  • Helping children build confidence and independence
  • Providing pastoral and practical support
  • Working alongside teachers and other school staff
  • Helping create an inclusive and positive learning environment

No two days are necessarily the same.

But every day gives you the chance to help a pupil make progress — whether that's understanding a difficult task, finding their confidence or simply having a better day at school.
