Salary: £100 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a reputable mainstream Primary School based in Gravesend, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant. The school promotes a positive and inclusive learning environment, with patience, positivity and understanding at the heart of their approach to supporting pupils.

The school is looking to take on an experienced Teaching Assistant on a temporary, full-time basis, with flexibility around the start date. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils across Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS, Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2, providing both 1:1 support and small group interventions, including supporting children with SEND to access learning and develop their confidence and independence.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification / Level 2 or Level 3 (desirable but not essential)

• Previous experience working within a mainstream primary school setting

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / SEND

• Experience delivering 1:1 pupil support and working with small groups across different year groups

• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs

• A patient, positive and understanding approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
