Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Salary: £92.63 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Sale that supports children and young people with Autism and complex needs. The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment focused on helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and engagement with learning.
The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term, full-time basis with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils with Autism and complex needs, working closely with teaching staff to provide individualised support, encourage positive engagement and help pupils access learning and daily activities.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker or in a similar support role
• Experience supporting children or young people with Autism, complex needs or additional needs
• A patient and resilient approach to supporting pupils
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A positive and adaptable attitude
