  • Recent experience using Team Teach, de-escalation or positive behaviour strategies is highly desirable.

  • At least 6 months' experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly Autism, complex needs or behaviours that challenge.

  • Experience working within a specialist SEND school, alternative provision, care or therapeutic setting.

  • An understanding of supporting children with complex additional needs.

  • The ability to remain calm, patient and resilient when supporting pupils who may become dysregulated or display challenging behaviour.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.

  • A consistent and nurturing approach to behaviour management.

  • The ability to work effectively alongside teachers, therapists and other professionals.

  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

In Return, You Can Expect:

  • A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 throughout the onboarding process.

  • Access to CPD courses and certificates through the My-Progression platform.

  • Market-leading rates of pay.

  • TeacherActive Referral Scheme – receive up to £100 when you refer a friend. Terms and Conditions apply.

  • Valuable experience within specialist SEND settings.

  • Potential for long-term and permanent opportunities for the right candidates.
