TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large secondary school based in the Monmouth area, who are looking to appoint a Textiles Teacher. The school offers a supportive and welcoming environment, with a strong team ethos and a fast-paced atmosphere where staff work collaboratively to provide high-quality education.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated Textiles Teacher from January 2027 on a full-time, short-term basis. The successful Textiles Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Textiles lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3, Key Stage 4 / KS4 and Key Stage 5 / KS5, encouraging creativity, developing practical skills and maintaining excellent classroom management.
The successful Textiles Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (NQTs are welcome to apply)
Experience teaching Textiles or Design and Technology within a secondary school setting
Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of the KS3, KS4 and KS5 curriculum
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
The ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging and differentiated lessons
A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
