TeacherActive is proud to be recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic tutors to support primary and secondary pupils across Rhondda Cynon Taf / RCT. Working with the Local Authority, you will help pupils access personalised education that supports their learning, confidence and well-being.
We are looking for proactive tutors to work on a full-time basis with an immediate start. All sessions will be delivered one-to-one, with support tailored to each pupil’s abilities and individual needs.
The successful tutors will provide support in core subjects, study skills and pastoral care. Confidence in Mathematics and Literacy is essential, with some secondary pupils requiring support to prepare for their GCSE examinations. Comprehensive training will be provided to help you follow established procedures and deliver effective personalised learning.
The successful Tutor will have:
Qualified Teacher Status / QTS – essential
Confidence supporting Mathematics and Literacy across primary and/or secondary age groups
Strong behaviour management skills, including experience managing challenging behaviour
The ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
A patient, inclusive approach to supporting pupil well-being
Strong communication skills to work effectively with pupils, parents, educational staff and external organisations
Experience providing learning support and pastoral care – desirable
A relevant Level 3 qualification or coaching certification – desirable
