TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Welsh-medium school based in Penybontfawr, Oswestry, who are looking to appoint a Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant. The school provides a Welsh-speaking learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, communication skills and academic abilities through the medium of Welsh.

The school is looking to take on a Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant on a part-time basis, working Monday afternoons and full days on Fridays, with an immediate start available. The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will support pupils across the primary age range as required, assisting the class teacher with classroom activities, encouraging pupil engagement and providing additional support to ensure children reach their full potential.

The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will have:

• Fluency in the Welsh language, both spoken and written, is essential

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience is desirable

• Experience supporting children in a primary school or educational setting

• A good understanding of the primary curriculum

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• A positive, patient and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning
