Salary: £34,069 to £52,835 per annum

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary school in Colchester to recruit a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract for up to one year, starting in October 2026.

The successful KS2 Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (ECTs are encouraged to apply)
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A creative and engaging approach to teaching and learning
- High expectations of pupil achievement and progress
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
